Escrow Administrator

Escrow Administrator sought for in-house, high-volume San Diego real estate investment firm.  This position coordinates land and business purchase, sale and loan closings internally and with outside lenders, title companies and escrow agents.  In addition to a strong familiarity with title insurance and title encumbrances, the Escrow Administrator must understand differences between and among legal entity types and the documents which create and maintain them.  The successful candidate must have superlative reliability and discretion.  The ideal individual will exercise strong decision making skills, have computer clerical expertise and a commitment to customer service.

  • Completes a broad variety of tasks related to real estate closings and organizing and maintaining legal entities including review and summarizing title restrictions;
  • Resolves title issues by internal research and document collection;
  • Prepares corporate and real estate documents using templates and pursuant to directions from attorneys and accountants;
  • Resolves contingencies to closings through follow-up;
  • Examines closing files for precise compliance as to amounts, names and dates;
  • Collect and distribute documents pursuant to deadlines;
  • Organizes and maintains legal entities across multiple states;


  • Expert organization, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, resourcefulness and emotional maturity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel.


  • Education and Experience: Minimum three years’ experience in a title insurance or lender underwriting role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or like experience.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.  Principals only.
