Residential Development Project Assistant

Seeking construction professional with 3 – 5 years’ experience supporting high end residential construction. Responsibilities will include, among other things:

  • Soliciting bids
  • Issuing work orders
  • Reviewing payment requests
  • Obtaining lien waivers
  • Reviewing cabinet shop drawings
  • Validating door and window schedules
  • Purchasing finish fixtures
  • Scheduling SDGE connections
  • Scheduling inspections
  • Plans review
  • Support outside consultant to obtain permits
  • Coordinate buyer selections and options with sales and field
  • Supporting field superintendent
  • General problem solving
  • Advanced Excel, Word required

Degree in construction management is desirable, but experience may be substituted. Candidates who cannot demonstrate advanced Excel skills will not be considered.

Work will generally be performed the project field office, but employee will be required to visit and traverse construction sites. He or she will regularly be required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects and tools. He or she will frequently be required to stand, talk and hear.
